Features
KnowU combines multiple signals — self-assessments, moral decisions, peer feedback, social media analysis, and AI conversations — to build a rich, multi-dimensional personality portrait.
Self-Evaluation
Personality Questionnaires
KnowU supports multiple questionnaires, each containing Likert-scale questions (Strongly Disagree → Strongly Agree). The default assessment uses a 3-step wizard:
- Self-Assessment — Answer personality questions through an intuitive card-swipe interface with per-question thematic icons and emoji-labelled options
- Peer Feedback (optional) — Paste text feedback from friends or colleagues for the AI to factor in
- Social Insights (optional) — Paste social media posts for the AI to analyse communication style and behavioural patterns
Additional focused questionnaires — like Leadership Material — explore specific dimensions and produce a lightweight AI-generated summary with an alignment score, highlights, and development areas.
Trait Self-Reflection
Alongside AI evaluations, you can maintain your own self-assessment for each of the 15 personality traits:
- Set a personal self-score (1–10 slider) for any trait
- Add a personal note (up to 500 characters) explaining your reasoning
- Compare your self-score against the AI-generated score in a side-by-side view
Self-reflections are auto-saved and stored separately from AI evaluations, giving you a persistent self-image to track over time.
Moral Compass
Daily Ethical Dilemmas
The Moral Compass is a Tinder-style card game presenting ethical dilemmas. Swipe through stories and make binary decisions — agree, oppose, or skip. Each story is linked to a personality trait, contributing to your overall profile.
After voting, see community statistics (YES vs. NO split) and how your friends answered. New dilemmas are sourced daily from Reddit and transformed by AI into neutral, PII-free scenarios with relevant trait tags.
Ask Friends
Peer Feedback Requests
Create a custom question (e.g., "How punctual am I in meetings?") and send it to selected friends. Recipients respond with a score (1–10) and an optional comment. Each question is auto-tagged to a personality trait, so results are grouped by dimension.
The feedback hub has four sub-tabs: Respond (pending requests), Sent (outgoing), Received (completed, grouped by trait), and Given (evaluations you've submitted).
Social Games
Blind Reveal
A group honesty game — write a question, pick friends, and everyone submits an anonymous answer. All answers stay hidden until every participant responds, then reveal simultaneously. This creates a safe space for truly honest feedback.
Who's Most Likely
Write a "Who is most likely to…" statement and select participants. Everyone votes for one person from the group. Votes remain hidden until all are in, then results show a ranked list with vote counts and a trophy for the winner.
Ask AI
Personality-Aware AI Chat
KnowU includes an AI chatbot with full context of your data — personality profile, questionnaire answers, moral verdicts, peer evaluations, and trait self-reflections. Start new conversations or continue existing ones using pre-written starters, or ask anything you like. The AI references your specific scores, peer feedback, and moral decisions to give meaningful, personalised answers. All conversations are stored and can be reviewed or deleted.
Analytics & Profiles
Your Personality Dashboard
Once you complete the default questionnaire, KnowU generates a comprehensive personality profile containing:
- MBTI type with a descriptive explanation (e.g., "ENTJ — The Commander")
- 15 trait scores (0–100), each colour-coded by framework
- Key strengths and growth areas
- Narrative summary — an overall personality portrait
The dashboard visualises your data through horizontal bar charts, a radar chart "Personality Landscape", a DISC donut chart, and aggregate statistics (evaluations, verdicts, AI conversations).
Trait Encyclopedia
The Traits view is an educational reference for all 15 personality traits, grouped by framework (DISC, MBTI, Big Five). Each entry includes:
- A trait icon and category badge
- Your score (if a profile exists)
- Detailed description of what the trait measures
- Key Focus — the trait's primary dimension
- Strengths — positive characteristics of high scorers
- Keep in Mind — potential challenges or blind spots
